I am wondering if you need an exhaust hood/fan with a gas range. Were

No you don't really need one, but they are helpful, in removing  
crush
odors, and cutting down on grease etc. I would check out, a method to vent

They are not required. All gas ranges are tested to AGA

standards for CO2 and CO emissions. They are extremely fume free and safe.

You don't need one. If you don't care about all of the cooking
